Job summary

The Ennis Center for Children is seeking a Foster Care Case Manager in Flint to oversee case management for assigned caseloads across the surrounding area. The role emphasizes advocacy for permanency goals such as reunification, adoption, guardianship, and relative placement.

The position is salaried/exempt with a salary range of $44,200–$55,000 per year and a sign-on bonus for eligible candidates with valid, non-expired CWTI training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work or other related field as required by licensing guidelines.
• Experience in a child placing agency is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable transportation and access to dependable means of travel.
• Satisfactory completion of all employment eligibility and Agency hiring requirements.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for children and families with the goal of permanency (reunification, adoption, guardianship, etc.).
• Maintain cases in assigned counties within the Ennis Center service area.
• Complete reports, logs, notes, and other paperwork professionally and on time.
• Coordinate or provide timely services and casework for Agency consumers, families, and foster families.
• Monitor and provide services; coordinate treatment services with local, state, or federal agencies and community resources.
• Assist with Foster Care responsibilities across agency offices and travel to caseloads outside home office as needed.
• Attend case conferences, hearings, home visits, and related activities; participate in required meetings.
• Provide 24-hour crisis on-call availability on a rotating basis.
• Manage case load from initial placements through intake process.
• Maintain a flexible work schedule and perform other duties as assigned.
• Promote a positive work environment; maintain professionalism with all stakeholders.
• Participate in training, staff meetings, and Agency activities; support special projects.
• Comply with Employment Policies, Procedures and Standards of Conduct; uphold confidentiality.
