Job summary

MCHS Family of Services is hiring a Foster Care Behavioral Aide to support the foster care department, children, and families in the Treatment Foster Care Program. The role involves assisting with visits, transportation, and crisis response, and applying treatment plans and behavioral strategies under supervision.

The position requires a high school diploma, a valid Michigan driver’s license, and the ability to work non-typical hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
• Valid Michigan driver’s license and a reliable insured vehicle.
• Ability to implement treatment plans and behavioral interventions as directed by the treatment team.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor birth and family visits at the agency or in the community.
• Assist with transporting consumers.
• Assist foster care staff with emergency situations during evenings and weekends.
• Implement treatment plans, goals and behavioral interventions as established by the treatment team.
• Provide respite care to treatment foster youth.
• Attend team meetings.
• Provide at least weekly contact with the foster parent for regular support.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
