Job summary

Southeast Christian Church invites a mission-driven Family Advocacy Ministry Leader to guide our foster, adoptive and biological family support efforts. The role leads staff, volunteers and partners to provide hope, connection and practical care.

As a servant leader, you will develop programs, train volunteers and teach sessions, while collaborating with church campuses to expand impact and demonstrate Christ-centered care for vulnerable children and families.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the foster care and adoption journey with trauma-informed parenting training.
• Strong leadership to build and inspire a team toward action.
• Ability to plan and coordinate church events and programs.
• Experience teaching and speaking to diverse audiences.
• Self-motivated and responsible.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship building.

Responsibilities

• Provide vision and leadership to the Family Advocacy Ministry, both staff and volunteers.
• Plan, promote and coordinate church-wide Foster & Adoptive Parent programs and events.
• Oversee Family Advocacy Ministry strategies and plans in all areas of programming.
• Develop partnerships with campuses and other internal and external ministries necessary to achieve ministry objectives.
• Recruit, train and lead volunteers who serve within the ministry.
• Teach informational sessions and parent trainings as needed.
• Serve as a pastoral advisor to both new and existing Foster & Adoptive Families.
• Assist with the development of digital and print content for the promotion of events and programs.
