Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company seeks a Fossil Project Manager for a 1-year W-2 contract to lead engineering and construction activities on gas development projects. This remote role reports to the onsite manager and drives due diligence, scheduling, and cost control across multiple sites.

Responsibilities include coordinating SMEs, negotiating commercial terms, and supporting procurement with bid evaluations. 8+ years in energy project delivery and EPC/EPCM experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 8+ years in energy project development or large capital construction.
• Experience in EPC/EPCM project delivery and risk management.
• Experience with procurement, bid evaluation, and contracts.
• Experience with gas development across geographies and regulatory environments.
• Familiarity with MS Project or Primavera scheduling software.

About the role

We are looking for a Fossil Project Manager on behalf of our client. This is a 1-year contract assignment (W-2). Our client is advancing a significant gas generation development portfolio, and Engineering & Construction is at the center of that work. You will report to the onsite Manager. No direct reports.

Location: This is a remote position

Contract: 1-year assignment (W-2)

We will lead E&C's engagement across selected gas project development activities — from technology due diligence and FEED studies to construction readiness within the project portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead E&C's participation in gas project technology and commercial due diligence. Evaluate achievable commercial commitments, constructability, site integration complexity, and utility interconnection requirements, including electrical, gas, and water.
• Coordinate with E&C SMEs to evaluate technology-specific balance-of-plant and interconnection requirements, including switchyard and transmission infrastructure, gas and water supply requirements, and wastewater and air emissions compliance

Requirements

• Lead E&C participation in Technology Review, capital estimate and project schedule development, and Preliminary Engineering phases across active gas development projects
• Coordinate E&C Subject Matter Expert resources to support gas project site configuration reviews and risk assessments
• Lead E&C's participation in negotiating commercial offtake agreements, permitting sites, and interconnecting processes, identifying construction-phase dependencies.
• Partner with Integrated Supply Chain on procurement support activities — including RFQ input, commercial and technical scope review, and bid evaluation for major gas project equipment and EPC/EPCM scopes
• Lead schedule development, cost benchmarking, cashflow modeling, and risk-adjusted cost positioning to support project sanction decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in energy project development or large capital construction.
• Experience in EPC/EPCM project delivery, cost estimating, schedule development, and project risk management for gas generation projects
• Experience in major equipment and EPC/EPCM contract procurement including bid preparation, evaluation, negotiation and award
• Experience with combined cycle or simple cycle gas development across multiple geographies and regulatory environments
• Familiarity with Microsoft Project or Primavera project management and scheduling software
