Job summary

Vannevar Labs seeks a forward-deployed Mission Strategist to embed with the Navy’s unmanned surface vessel community in Norfolk. This in-person role requires on-site work with USV operators at least 3 days per week, including travel.

• Experience with unmanned or autonomous platforms or related software.
• Ability to decompose ambiguous operational problems into software needs.
• Willingness to travel and work on-site in Norfolk, VA with Navy partners.

Responsibilities

• Embed with USV operators on-site in Norfolk.
• Synthesize operational problems from field observations.
• Configure and prove workflows for mission tasks.
• Test and troubleshoot releases on deployed government systems.
• Generate mission wins with Navy counterparts.
• Operate independently with limited direction.
