Job summary

Giga Energy seeks a Forward Deployed Product Manager for Internal Tools & Automation. You will build internal systems to streamline sourcing, purchasing, cost tracking, invoicing, and fulfillment across a fast-growing physical operation.

Remote role with slight preference near Austin, TX. You will embed with operators, work closely with software builders, and drive adoption of automation, AI-assisted workflows, and integrated tooling to improve speed and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience owning a cross-functional workflow from idea to delivery and adoption.
• Strong process-discovery skills to uncover rules, exceptions and ownership gaps.
• Fluency with relational data, identifiers, joins, lifecycle states and data quality.
• Ability to write and review SQL to inspect and validate data.
• Working knowledge of APIs, integrations, and event-driven systems.
• Solid product judgment to scope releases and prioritize work.
• Experience partnering with engineers while owning business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Discover and document critical workflows by engaging frontline operators.
• Define core records, ownership, lifecycle states and decision rules.
• Use SQL to reconcile records and test assumptions for data quality.
• Map information flow across systems, spreadsheets, APIs, and handoffs.
• Identify deterministic automations and AI opportunities with safe fallbacks.
• Plan releases as small, valuable increments delivering measurable outcomes.
• Write clear requirements, data contracts, and acceptance criteria.
• Partner with engineers on architecture while owning outcomes and adoption.
• Lead rollout, training, migration, and support planning.
• Measure releases by cycle time, accuracy, visibility, and manual effort.
