Job summary

Dex is partnering with a leading insurance technology company to deploy AI solutions for major carriers. You will sit as a trusted technical partner, handling deployments from scoping to go-live and serving as the main technical contact for senior stakeholders.

You will build, integrate, and ship multi-modal AI systems, leveraging prompt engineering, API integrations, and cloud tooling, while balancing strategic relationships with hands-on coding and delivery.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a forward-deployed, agent engineering, or founding role with client ownership.
• Proven ability to build and ship production-grade code in Python with APIs and cloud tooling.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering and agentic AI concepts.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end AI deployments for major insurance carriers, from initial scoping to successful go-live.
• Design, build, and evolve multi-modal agentic AI systems, leveraging prompt engineering, model integration, and AI-assisted development.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for senior client stakeholders, translating complex AI capabilities into business outcomes.
• Work hands-on with client tech teams to integrate AI solutions via APIs and custom environments.
• Scope and develop new features based on client needs, feeding critical insights back into the core product roadmap.

This isn't just a client-facing role, nor is it purely an engineering one. You'll be the trusted technical partner embedded within client carriers, owning deployments end-to-end from scoping to go-live. Expect to be the primary contact for senior stakeholders while also hands-on building and shipping multi-modal agentic AI systems and integrations. This seat is for founders and operators who want both the strategic client relationships and the deep technical execution.

The work
