Job summary

Primis, an NYC-based enterprise AI startup, is hiring Forward Deployed Engineers to embed with clients and own end-to-end solutions from discovery to ROI. The role offers high-visibility work, real ownership and meaningful equity.

You will lead deployments, scope workflows, architect integrations and orchestrate AI models, while partnering with consulting firms and internal teams to deliver scalable, explainable AI.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a hybrid technical and client-facing role
• Hands-on experience deploying AI/ML workflows or intelligent applications (LLMs, RAG, agents, forecasting)
• Strong Python, plus exposure to tools like GCP, Docker, FastAPI, LangChain, Elasticsearch, Snowflake or BigQuery
• Experience with data pipelines and distributed systems in production
• Able to turn complex business problems into structured technical solutions
• Strong analytical skills and a track record building repeatable, scalable processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication, comfortable leading technical design sessions and executive discussions

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical delivery on enterprise engagements, from discovery through deployment

• Work with internal Product, Data Science and Backend teams to deliver scalable, explainable and reliable AI integrations

• Build reusable patterns, documentation and playbooks to speed up future deployments
• Lead executive-level conversations, advise on AI workflow strategy and feed learnings back into the product
• Work with sales and customer success to drive adoption and expansion
