Job summary

Vannevar is a defense technology company building AI to deter adversaries. The Forward Deployed Engineer will serve as the technical lead for customer engagements, owning the architecture, development, deployment, and fielding of agentic solutions for mission-critical systems.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional software engineering experience with production systems (DoW/IC).
Ability to translate mission requirements into technical solutions and lead discussions with engineers and stakeholders.
Experience modernizing, integrating, or sustaining large-scale software systems.

Responsibilities

Deploy and extend the agentic software modernization platform for defense systems.
Serve as the primary technical contact for government customers.
Collaborate with engineers, product, and mission experts to design scalable software solutions.
Analyze architectures and identify modernization opportunities and strategies.
Develop modernization plans and demonstrations for AI-enabled software engineering.
