Job summary

Storm2 is seeking a senior software engineer to design and build AI-enabled applications for a California-based fintech platform. You will work with large language models, agentic workflows, and retrieval systems to deliver end-to-end AI-powered solutions.

You will rapidly develop proofs of concept, MVPs, and pilots, collaborating with product and AI platform engineers to deploy scalable, production-ready systems across enterprise environments on cloud-native infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI-enabled applications using LLMs, agentic workflows, retrieval systems, and automation platforms.
• Rapidly develop proofs of concept, MVPs, and pilot solutions validated with end users.
• Work across the full delivery lifecycle from design to deployment and scaling.
• Collaborate with Product Engineers to validate concepts and with AI Platform Engineers to deploy solutions.
• Design integrations across internal systems, databases, knowledge repositories, and third-party platforms.
• Extensive hands-on software engineering experience across modern application development.

Our client is a high-growth California-based fintech redefining finance through AI-powered automation. Their platform helps companies manage corporate spending, expenses, payments, and financial operations more intelligently, enabling finance teams to work faster and make better decisions.

What you\'ll do

• Design and build AI-enabled applications using large language models, agentic workflows, retrieval systems, and automation platforms
• Rapidly develop proofs of concept, MVPs, and pilot solutions that can be validated with end users
• Work across the full delivery lifecycle, from solution design through deployment, monitoring, iteration, and scaling
• Collaborate closely with Product Engineers to validate concepts and with AI Platform Engineers to deploy solutions onto enterprise-scale infrastructure
• Design integrations across internal systems, APIs, databases, knowledge repositories, and third-party platforms
• Extensive hands-on software engineering experience across modern application development
• Strong experience building and deploying AI-powered solutions using LLMs and Generative AI technologies
• Experience taking solutions from prototype through production deployment
• Proficiency in Python and modern backend development frameworks
• Experience designing scalable system architectures and integrating complex enterprise environments
• Comfortable working directly with business stakeholders and translating requirements into technical solutions
• Experience with cloud-native environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures
• Agentic AI frameworks (LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel, etc.)
• AI evaluation, observability, and monitoring
