Air is seeking a Data Science Manager, Forward Deployed, to lead the AI model development discipline and team for National Security customers. You will drive AI roadmap, model development and productionization while collaborating with Product, Sales, and Engineering to deliver decision-grade models.

You will engage directly with customers to understand challenges and recruit top data science talent, thriving in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building and deploying ML/LLM systems in production
• 2+ years leading or mentoring engineering teams in production environments
• Experience deploying AI/ML models into production environments

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of data scientists and AI engineers across client projects.
• Organize complex AI/ML work for multiple clients and use cases.
• Establish coding, testing and AI best practices for engineers.
• Oversee AI development for deployment and productionization of models.
• Collaborate with product, forward deployment, and engagement teams to translate requirements into technical specs.
