PwC South Africa in the United States seeks a Forward Deployed Data Engineering Manager within our Tax practice to design, code, and test applications that drive digital transformation and improve business performance. You will lead and mentor teams, manage client expectations, and govern CI/CD, API management, and data engineering challenges.
You will deliver high‑quality software solutions, oversee cross‑system integrations, and coach staff to excel in project planning and execution.
As a Forward Deployed Data Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing innovative software solutions to drive digital transformation and enhance business performance. Within our Tax practice, you will leverage your technical experience and creative thinking to design, code, and test applications that revolutionize industries and deliver exceptional user experiences. As a manager, you will motivate, develop, and inspire others to deliver quality, coach your team, leverage unique strengths, and manage performance to meet client expectations. With your growing knowledge of business operations, you play an important role in identifying opportunities that contribute to the success of the firm. You are expected to lead with integrity, articulate purpose and values, own projects, confirm successful planning, budgeting, execution and completion, develop skills outside your comfort zone, and encourage others to do the same. Up to 80%.
Salary range: $99,000 – $266,000, dependent on skills, experience, qualifications and location. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
