Job summary

ERoad is seeking a Forward Deployed Data Engineer in San Diego to own the technical relationship with strategic North American customers, blending hands-on data engineering with customer ownership.

You will lead discovery workshops, translate business problems into data & analytics solutions, and collaborate with Sales, Product and Engineering to shape and deliver customer solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on data engineering or analytics engineering experience.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience with a cloud data warehouse, Snowflake preferred, or equivalent depth on another modern cloud data warehouse.
• Python or another relevant programming language.
• Experience with dbt or an equivalent transformation framework.
• Solid data quality and governance practices.
• Git-based development and CI/CD experience.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills, comfortable presenting to executive audiences.
• Power BI dashboard-building experience is a plus.
