Job summary

EROAD Ltd. is seeking a Forward Deployed Data Engineer to directly own data-driven customer engagements from discovery to delivery. You will work hands-on on data engineering at scale, crafting analytics and AI solutions for North American clients, and partnering with Sales, Product, and Engineering to drive impactful outcomes.

You will lead workshops, translate complex business problems into data pipelines, and prototype AI use cases while maintaining governance and quality across engagements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on data engineering or analytics engineering experience.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience with a cloud data warehouse, Snowflake preferred, or equivalent depth on another modern data warehouse.
• Python or another relevant programming language.
• Experience with dbt or an equivalent transformation framework.
• Solid data quality and governance practices.
• Git-based development and CI/CD experience.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills, comfortable presenting to executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery workshops with customers to understand their business problems firsthand.
• Present findings and solution approaches to both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
• Translate business problems into scoped data, analytics and AI solutions.
• Build and prototype applied AI use cases directly with customers.
• Own engagements end to end, including scoping, estimates and risk management.
• Work closely with Sales, Product and Engineering to shape and deliver customer solutions.
