Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer II (FDE II) to embed with a strategic customer and independently design, build, deploy, and run AI-powered production systems.

You will write production-grade software and own end-to-end AI workstreams, collaborating with the customer’s engineering team to deliver measurable business outcomes. Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Current TS/SCI US Government Security Clearance.
• Experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Experience in a highly agile environment.
• Experience with agentic development and AI tools (eval frameworks, RAG pipelines, prompt engineering).
• US government security clearance of top secret or above.

Mansioni

• Embed within customer engineering teams. Translate customer requirements into technical designs for AI-enabled production systems. Requires 30 – 50% travel.
• Build production AI applications powering AI and agentic workflows. Integrate data sources and existing apps into cohesive AI experiences; optimize latency, reliability, and cost.
• Own production for your workstream across scoping, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Troubleshoot incidents across AI models and distributed systems.
• Mentor and uplift; coach others through code reviews and guidance on best practices.
• Accelerate customer adoption by codifying reusable patterns and accelerators for future deployments.
