Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS) seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer II to embed directly with enterprise customers—design, build, deploy, and run AI-powered production systems alongside their engineering teams.

FDE IIs write production-grade software and own AI workstreams end-to-end from requirements through production deployment, combining AWS SDE rigor with urgency and ownership for measurable customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• 3+ years of non-internship software development experience
• Experience with Agile, startup, or rapidly scaling environments
• Experience communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences

Responsibilities

• Embed within customer engineering teams.
• Build production AI applications powering AI-enabled workflows.
• Own production for your workstream across the software lifecycle.
• Mentor and uplift new team members on systems design and quality code.
• Accelerate customer adoption with reusable patterns and improvements
