Job summary

CommerceIQ is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to partner with founders, AI Product Managers and executives to prototype and deploy AI‑driven solutions for enterprise customers.

This founding role, reporting to the Head of AI Strategy and Outcomes, involves collaborating with teams in Mountain View and Bangalore, owning customer lifecycle from pre‑sales to post‑deployment, and shaping CommerceIQ’s first forward deployed engineering function.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of engineering experience with strong software development foundations.
• Full-stack and data integration skills including APIs, SQL/NoSQL, ETL pipelines and deploying AI/LLM-based agents.
• Customer-facing problem solver with excellent communication and ability to translate requirements into working solutions.
• Rapid prototyper with bias toward action and quick iterations.

Responsibilities

• Build prototypes with customers and convert insights into functioning demos.
• Ingest data from ERP/ecommerce systems and create AI agents for use cases.
• Lead customer-facing demos and tune models using production feedback loops.
• Collaborate with Bangalore teams to generalize prototypes into robust features and reusable modules.
• Own engagements end-to-end, from pre-sales scoping to post-deployment refinement and liaison between customers, product, and engineering.
• Cultivate customer relationships with clear, engaging communication and trusted technical guidance.
