Job summary

Gravitas Group is seeking a Forward-Deployed Engineer (GenAI) to design, prototype, and productionise GenAI solutions for financial services clients. This remote role involves occasional travel to London and client sites as needed.

You will collaborate with senior stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable AI systems, deploy LLM-based agents, and drive ROI from PoC to production, blending deep technical execution with customer impact.

Qualifications

• 2+ years building production AI/data solutions (FDE/Data Scientist/AI Engineer)
• Hands-on GenAI with LLMs, prompts, retrieval pipelines
• Strong Python proficiency
• ML model development, deployment & monitoring
• Ability to translate business problems into computational workflows
• Excellent communication with senior stakeholders

Responsibilities

Forward-Deployed Engineer (GenAI)

Location: Remote (1-2 days a month in London) | Travel: Required to client sites in London as needed

Salary: ~£70,000 per annum (flexibile depending on experience) + Equity + Bonus

We’re seeking a Forward-Deployed Engineer (GenAI) who thrives at the intersection of deep technical expertise and customer impact. In this role, you’ll work directly with senior stakeholders to design, prototype, and productionise GenAI-driven solutions on their agentic platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with client teams to understand domain challenges and success metrics.
• Translate business requirements into scalable AI solutions using the agentic framework.
• Prototype and deploy LLM-based agents (prompt structures, orchestration logic, memory, retrieval pipelines).
• Drive the transition from proof-of-concept to production with reliability and measurable ROI.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor, guiding adoption and defining success metrics.
• Contribute reusable components and frameworks for faster deployments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years building production-grade AI/data solutions as a FDE, Data Scientist or AI Engineer
• Hands-on GenAI experience (LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, vector databases, agentic frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, DSPy).
• Strong Python proficiency.
• Expertise in Machine Learning Engineering (model development, deployment, monitoring).
• Ability to break down complex business domains into computational workflows.
• Excellent communication skills and comfort engaging senior stakeholders.
