Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Staff Accountant (Retail) to join our Fort Worth, TX finance team. This on-site role supports general ledger, inventory-related accounting, and monthly/year-end close processes to drive accurate financial reporting and strong decision-making.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of dealership accounting experience, GAAP knowledge, and Excel proficiency. A Bachelor's in Accounting is preferred, CPA is a plus. Competitive compensation and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional accounting experience within a dealership environment; dealership accounting experience is required.
• Working knowledge of GAAP, accounting processes, and corporate finance principles.
• Experience with audit-related accounting activities and supporting documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate with management.
• Proactive, open-minded approach to problem-solving and delivering results.

Responsibilities

• Produce financial and accounting reports and maintain supporting records.
• Perform inventory-related accounting tasks and reconciliations.
• Assist in monthly commission calculations and related records.
• Conduct GL reconciliations and correct discrepancies.
• Support month-end and year-end closes, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare schedules and commentary on operating account results and variances.
