Job summary

BrightStar Care of Fort Wayne, IN is seeking reliable Home Health Aides for 3rd shift to support clients in their homes in the Fort Wayne area. You will provide compassionate in-home care, help with daily living activities, and ensure safety and comfort for clients.

Qualifications

• Indiana HHA license required.
• GED or high school diploma.
• 1 year of home health care experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle.
• HIPPA regulations compliance and client confidentiality.
• Negative drug test and motor vehicle background screening.
• Excellent English reading, writing, speaking and comprehension.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with mobility.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal hygiene (baths included).
• Assist with mobility exercises and report changes to nurse.
• Assist with light housekeeping, meal prep, transportation to appointments, and companionship.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with personal hygiene (Including baths)
• Assisting the client with active and passive mobility exercises as directed by the plan of care, and reporting any changes to nurse case manager.
• Assisting the client with light housekeeping, meal prep, transportation to appointments, and companionship.

Requirements:

• A current Indiana HHA license is required.
• GED or high school diploma
• 1 year of experience in home health care
• Current CPR certification
• A physical and a negative tuberculosis skin test within the last 12 months
• A valid driver's license as well as auto insurance and a reliable vehicle are required.
• Comply with HIPPA regulations and safeguard client confidentiality.
• A negative drug test and motor vehicle background screening
• Effective communication including the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
• Ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull are all required. Depending on the client's mobility, several types of help are required. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required.

Candidates with experience as a CNA, Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide/Assistant, or comparable professions are strongly considered.
