Job summary

LAUKOA is seeking a qualified Grounds Maintenance Laborer to support facilities operations at Fort Meade, Maryland. This role performs routine grounds maintenance, landscaping, and exterior upkeep to keep Government facilities safe, clean, and professional.

The selected candidate will work under contract requirements and safety procedures, operating equipment and helping with planting, pruning, and seasonal upkeep, including snow/ice removal when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of one year of grounds maintenance or similar outdoor work experience preferred.
• Experience operating grounds maintenance equipment.
• Ability to perform outdoor physical labor in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine grounds maintenance, landscaping, and exterior facility support tasks.
• Operate and maintain mowers, trimmers, blowers, edgers, and other equipment.
• Assist with planting, pruning, watering, and general care of landscape areas.
• Support snow and ice removal activities as needed.
• Report maintenance deficiencies and follow work orders to completion.
