Experienced Formworker in Los Angeles

We are a reputable construction company in Los Angeles seeking an experienced Formworker to join our team. As a Formworker, you will be responsible for creating and setting up concrete forms for various construction projects. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and precision.

Responsibilities

• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge.
• Study blueprints, sketches or building plans for information pertaining to type of material required, such as lumber or fiberboard.
• Follow safety procedures when handling materials and operating equipment.
• Build wooden molds to hold freshly poured concrete in place until it sets.
• Align forms for sidewalks, curbs or gutters; patch voids; use saws to cut expansion joints.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
• Install anchor bolts, steel plates and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete or pattern or stamp the surface to provide a decorative finish.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Formworker in the construction industry.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and building plans.
• Knowledge of construction materials, tools and equipment.
• Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
• Attention to detail with the ability to work with precision.

Salary

We offer a competitive salary of $1300 per month along with benefits package including health insurance, paid time off and opportunities for career growth.

Location

This position is located in Los Angeles. Candidates must be willing to relocate if not currently residing in the city.
