Job summary

Work corp in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a skilled Formwork Technician to join our construction crew. You will construct and assemble formwork for concrete structures in line with project plans and specifications.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, setting up formwork with lumber, plywood, steel, and aluminum, installing anchors and braces, pouring and finishing concrete, and inspecting for defects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; carpentry/construction training preferred.
• At least 2 years of formwork experience on commercial or residential projects.
• Experience reading blueprints and project specs.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools safely.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.
• Attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Good communication and ability to work independently or in a team.
• English proficiency.

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Formwork Technician to join our team in Los Angeles. As a Formwork Technician, you will be responsible for constructing and assembling various types of formwork for concrete structures in accordance with project plans and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret project plans and specifications to determine formwork requirements
• Construct and assemble formwork using various materials such as lumber, plywood, steel, and aluminum
• Install anchor bolts, braces, scaffolding, and other support structures as needed
• Pour, level, and finish concrete into formwork according to project specifications
• Remove formwork after concrete has cured and inspect for any defects or issues
• Repair or replace damaged or worn formwork components as needed
• Adhere to all safety regulations and practices while working on construction sites

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; formal training in carpentry or construction is preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in formwork construction on commercial or residential projects
• Experience reading blueprints and following project plans and specifications
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and other construction equipment related to formwork installation
• Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials as needed
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills in English
