Job summary

Work corp in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a skilled Formwork Technician to join our construction crew. You will construct and assemble formwork for concrete structures in line with project plans and specifications.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, setting up formwork with lumber, plywood, steel, and aluminum, installing anchors and braces, pouring and finishing concrete, and inspecting for defects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; carpentry/construction training preferred.
• At least 2 years of formwork experience on commercial or residential projects.
• Experience reading blueprints and project specs.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools safely.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.
• Attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Good communication and ability to work independently or in a team.
• English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Read project plans to determine formwork requirements.
• Construct and assemble formwork from lumber, plywood, steel, and aluminum.
• Install anchor bolts, braces, scaffolding, and supports.
• Pour, level, and finish concrete into formwork per specs.
• Remove formwork after curing and inspect for defects.
• Repair or replace damaged formwork components.
• Follow safety regulations on construction sites.
