Job summary

George J. Igel & Co., Inc. is seeking skilled Carpenters to build, install, and maintain concrete formwork on heavy civil projects. The role requires reading blueprints, operating hand and power tools, and maintaining safety and equipment on site.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds, work in various weather conditions, and communicate effectively with crew and supervision. OSHA 10-hour certification is preferred, and union membership or sign-up within 30 days of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Builds, assembles, and installs forms for concrete structures and flatwork.
• May assist with lagging and pile driving operations.
• Performs basic layout duties per job specifications.
• Uses hand and power tools safely.
• Maintains all company tools and equipment; reports maintenance needs.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area.
• Assists with setup and teardown of job area.
• Communicates with crew and supervision regarding progress, safety, and equipment needs.
• Adheres to company policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
