Job summary

Texas Materials is seeking a Carpenter to lay out, build, and install wooden structures for concrete forms and scaffolding in the Central Texas area. The role requires reading plans, measuring, and assembling form materials safely on site.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and prior carpentry experience. Expect to work full time with opportunities for growth in a safety‑driven environment that values quality craft and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret plans or sketches and measure/cut/assemble form materials.
• Proficient with common hand and power tools used for carpentry and form building.
• Meet site safety requirements and PPE standards, OSHA/MSHA policies compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lay out work from plans or sketches.
• Build wooden structures such as concrete forms, falsework, scaffolding.
• Build forms in place or prefabricate form units for installation.
• Build forms for bridges, drainage structures, walls, and related needs.
• Perform hammering, nailing, cutting, measuring, bolting, and material handling.
• Follow site onboarding/safety expectations and report incidents.
