Job summary

Texas Materials, a CRH company, is seeking a carpenter to lay out and construct wood forms and scaffolding for various construction projects in Texas. You will read plans and build forms for bridges, drainage structures, and walls, using hand and power tools.

Responsibilities include measuring, cutting, hammering, and following safety protocols. Overnight travel to job sites may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior carpentry/construction experience preferred.
• Ability to read and work from plans or sketches.

Responsibilities

• Lay out work from plans or sketches.
• Build wooden structures such as concrete forms, falsework, pouring chutes, and scaffolding.
• Build forms in place to line and grade, or prefabricate form units for installation.
• Build forms for bridges, drainage structures, walls, and related construction needs.
• Perform related carpentry tasks including hammering, nailing, cutting, measuring, bolting, and handling building materials.
