Job summary

PCI Pharma Services in New Hampshire is seeking a Scientist II to join the Formulation Development team. This role leads and collaborates on formulation and process development for small molecules and biologics, driving project milestones and ensuring GMP readiness.

You will mentor junior scientists, perform analytical testing (HPLC/UPLC, UV-Vis, DSC), contribute to tech transfer, and author documentation while collaborating with Manufacturing Technical Services and client teams.

Qualifications

Advanced degree with 0–3 years of pharma development or CDMO experience.
BS/MS with 5+ years in pharmaceutical development or CDMO industry.
Knowledge of biopharmaceuticals and regulatory expectations.

Responsibilities

Leads formulation development projects as technical lead for design activities.
Supports complex projects with senior scientist collaboration to hit milestones.
Executes experiments and analyzes results with minimal supervision.
Develops phase-appropriate formulation strategies aligned with programs.
Represents formulation development on calls, providing updates and input.
Demonstrates formulation design for small molecules and biologics; data interpretation.
Optimizes formulations for high-potency compounds and ADCs; supports tech transfer.
Performs analytical testing (HPLC/UPLC, CE, UV-Vis, DSC) to confirm acceptance criteria.
Maintains instruments, writes/edits SOPs, and mentors junior staff.
Collaborates with MTS, Operations, and client teams for project execution.
