Gurtler Industries in Illinois is seeking a Formulation Development Chemist to join our R&D lab. This hands-on, first shift role focuses on formulating and evaluating laundry systems, textile performance, and sustainability.

You will work with surfactants, conduct bench formulation, textile-performance testing, and support scale-up to production while collaborating across teams. Travel is ~10%; ISO/cGMP experience is beneficial; strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Chemistry or physical science.
• 3–10 years of hands-on R&D formulation-development experience.
• Hands-on experience with surfactants and formulation raw materials.
• Industrial cleaning, laundry or related specialty chemical formulations preferred.
• Experience evaluating and troubleshooting product performance and optimizing formulations.
• Experience taking formulations from bench development through scale-up or production.
• Strong communication across management and customer levels.
• ISO/cGMP experience beneficial.
• Approximately 10% travel.
