Job summary

The Former (1st shift) at Durex Industries in Cary, IL, prepares and sets up fixtures for forming and bending of elements or steel tubes using blueprints. You will assemble form fixtures, set up bend tooling, install and complete elements per mold, and move finished parts to the foundry/stock area.

You may also operate a sandblaster and perform quality inspections with electrical equipment, with additional tasks as needed. This role supports a broad range of thermal solutions manufacturing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read calipers, scales and blueprints.
• Ability to read and interpret prints.
• Proficient with basic Excel and computer use.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience using overhead cranes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare form fixtures.
• Prepare bend fixtures/tooling.
• Install, form, complete elements per mold.
• Transfer completed formed elements to foundry/stock area.
• Operate sandblaster as needed.
• Quality inspections with electrical equipment and devices.
• May be assigned additional tasks as needed.
