Job summary

Durex Industries in Cary, IL is seeking a Former to prepare and set up fixtures for the forming and bending of elements or steel tubes using blueprints. The role targets second shift with a 15% differential and involves fixture preparation, tooling, and transfer of finished parts to the stock area.

You will read calipers and prints, use hand tools, and perform quality checks with basic computer skills (Excel). Prior crane experience is a plus, and a high school diploma is preferred.

The Role:

As the Former, you will prepareand set up fixtures for the forming & bending of elements or steel tubeswith the use of blueprints.

Our Responsibilities:

• Prepare form fixtures
• Prepare bend fixtures/tooling
• Install, form, complete elements per mold
• Transfer completed formed elements to foundry/stock area
• Use of sandblaster
• Quality inspection with electrical equipment and devices
• May be assigned additional tasks as needed.

Our Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to use hand tools (i.e., pneumatic, wrenches, hammers, chisels)
• Ability to read calipers, scales, rulers and blueprints
• Understand thread sizes and diameters
• Read and interpret prints
• Basic computer aptitude with Excel
• Work fairly independently or under minimal supervision of the Team Lead
• Experience using overhead cranes a plus

Pay Range: $17.00 - $17.51 hourly(2nd shift has a 15% shift differential)
