Job summary

Ardagh Group is seeking a hands-on professional to lead safety and production activities in a glass forming environment. You will maintain precise records, monitor efficiency and quality, and implement corrective actions to prevent downtime.

You will also build strong relationships across departments, manage labor relations with sound practices, and ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards, supporting continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Five years of glass manufacturing experience focused on forming.
  • Experience with mold repair and machine repair.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Willing to travel up to 5%.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a proactive safety environment with good housekeeping and risk awareness.
  • Maintain timely and accurate records such as attendance, production, quality, training, and discipline.
  • Monitor production efficiencies and quality and provide corrective action plans.
  • Develop productive working relationships within the department and with other departments.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and food safety standards per policies.

Job description

Establish and maintain a proactive safety environment which includes: good housekeeping, constant awareness of injury risks, and always striving for zero accidents

Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, with other departments, and with the employees; further, establish and develop labor relations utilizing sound management principles

Maintain timely and accurate records such as attendance, production, quality, training, and discipline

Monitor production efficiencies and quality regularly during the shift and provide corrective action plans with employees while maintaining accurate communications with appropriate departments

Comply with environmental and food safety standards as set forth in plant policies and programs within the departmental responsibilities

Minimum skills / qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Five (5) years of experience in glass manufacturing with an emphasis on the forming process

Prior experience with mold repair, machine repair, and job changes

Proficient organizational, analytical, and planning skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to work in a heavy industrial, high-risk work environment

Ability to work outside of regular work hours

Ability to prioritize work and have a sense of urgency

Ability to travel up to 5%
