Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• Knowledge of finite element analysis, manufacturing, GD&T, and 6-sigma processes.
• Understanding of sheet metal materials and computational mechanics.
• Hands-on experience with stamping software Autoform, LS-Dyna or Pamstamp.
• Experience with CAD tools to create surfaces.
• Strong organizational and communication skills to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform virtual stamping tryouts on draw and secondary dies for new vehicle model programs.
• Support current volume production model requirements.
• Aim for quality targets in formability, aesthetics and dimensional control.
• Deliver die developments, simulation results and NC models per program timing.
• Support stamping plant and related activities throughout the program.
