Roto Frank Of America I forms the backbone of our 2nd shift Chester, CT operations, focusing on forming and stamping presses within a busy manufacturing setting.

The role requires precise production, adherence to quality standards, and accurate record-keeping while operating related equipment. You will set up tools, conduct routine maintenance, and comply with safety guidelines; overtime and forklift operation are expected.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings and related documentation.
• Solid understanding of production equipment or the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new machinery.
• Strong analytical abilities and effective problem‑solving skills.
• Knowledge of applicable OSHA and environmental regulations, with the ability to comply with all requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate forming and lock bar stamping tools and presses safely.
• Produce required quantity of parts within specifications and tolerances.
• Measure finished parts with precision tools and ensure quality compliance.
• Maintain logs/records of units produced and errors; report defects.
• Inspect equipment prior to use and perform basic adjustments and maintenance.
• Maintain efficiency goals and observe all safety requirements.
• Oversee forklift and pallet jack operation as needed.

We are seeking a Machine Operator to join our 2nd shift team. This role is responsible for safely operating a variety of machines, with a focus on stamping presses and forming as well as other equipment used in our production process.

Essential functions:

• Accountable for daily production and quality control parts manufactured on the hobbing, forming or lockbar stamping press and simple die changes.
• Produces the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances.
• Measures finished parts with precision tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications.
• Maintains logs and records of units produced including a record of errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces.
• Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.
• Able to maintain required efficiency rates.
• Able to set up forming and lock bar stamping tools.
• General housekeeping of work area.
• Observe all safety requirements.
• Employee must show up to work on time and be able to work overtime as needed.
• Must be able to operate forklift and pallet jack.

Minimum Required Education:

• High Schol Diploma or equivalent

Required Work Experience:

• At least one year of related experience required.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery and production processes.

• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to traverse production facility and climb ladders.
• Manual dexterity for assembly and machine operation.
• Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts.

Pay Range:

The pay range for this position is between $21-22/hour. The actual range will depend on varying circumstances and individualized factors, such as job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
