Job summary

Roto North America is seeking an Assembly Worker in Chester, CT to assemble metal and plastic components, operate rivet machines, and maintain high quality in a manufacturing setting.

You will read blueprints, follow work instructions, and use tools safely while meeting production targets. This role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to stand for long periods with occasional overtime.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency in work output.
  • Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability for equipment or process issues.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble metal products according to specifications, blueprints, or work instructions.
  • Set up and operate production equipment, including rivet machines.
  • Use hand tools and machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect products to ensure quality standards and consistency; troubleshoot and report issues.
  • Maintain production records, including logs for output, maintenance, and quality concerns.
  • Perform inventory checks on tools, parts, and supplies; request replenishment as needed.
  • Clip lock bars using manual and automated methods.
  • Sort and package finished products, including injection-molded parts.
  • Package completed goods for shipment.
  • Maintain production efficiency and meet established performance targets.
  • Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while contributing to team goals.
  • Maintain reliable attendance and flexibility to work overtime as required.

Assembly Worker

Full Time Manual Labor Chester, CT, US

Salary Range: $17.00 To $18.00 Hourly

Position Type:Full time based on 40h/week

FLSA Classification: Non- exempt, eligible for OT

Report to: Production Manager/ Supervisor

Pay Range: The pay range for this position is $17/ hour for 1st shift and $18/hour for 2nd shift.

The assembly worker is responsible for assembling metal and plastic components, operating machinery, and ensuring product quality in a manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • Able to traverse the entire production facility
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Manual dexterity and strong hand-eye coordination
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (e.g., gloves, safety glasses)
