Job summary

Lyten, Inc. is seeking a Formation Process Engineer to manage process engineering for our pilot formation line in San Jose. This role involves leading experiments and ensuring technology transfer to high-volume production.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree and has at least 2 years of engineering experience. Responsibilities include owning formation processes, supporting teams, and training technicians. We offer competitive compensation, including a salary range of $116,600 – $175,000, plus various benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of engineering experience involving electrical or electromechanical systems.
• Ability to converse confidently on cell manufacturing processes.
• Proficient in troubleshooting battery formation/testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Own process engineering and technology transfer for pilot battery cell formation.
• Initiate root-cause analysis when new failure modes are discovered.
• Train technicians on formation operations and procedures.
