Job summary

ROCKWOOL International A/S in Byhalia, MS is seeking an experienced Senior Machine Operator-Format/Milling to join our 6:00PM–6:30AM team with a rotating 2-2-3 schedule.

You will operate, troubleshoot, and maintain production machines, verify quality with measurement tools, and support the fleece applying process in a fast-paced facility. Safety gear and training are provided.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in machine set-up and computers.
  • Minimum 2 years machine operator experience.
  • Must understand written instructions and product specifications.
  • Practical knowledge of continuous flow automated manufacturing.
  • Hands-on problem solver.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain machines including sanding, shaping, and cutting.
  • Visually inspect raw materials entering the area and verify quality leaving the area.
  • Use measurement tools to verify production is within specification (calipers, micrometers, tape measures).
  • Assist with operation of the fleece applying device with other machines and installations.
  • Work in a fast-paced, high-volume production facility and follow safety protocols.

Including but not limited to tape measures, gauge blocks, calipers, and micrometers.· Cooperation and supervision of the proper operation of the fleece applying device with all machines and cooperating installations jobs.· Physical Work Environment & Conditions· Must be able to stand/walk on concrete floors for 12 or more hours during the course of a day.· Must be able to work in a fast-paced high volume production facility.· Some lifting, bending, stooping, walking up/downstairs, fast-paced walking for some distance.· The ability to lift 60 pounds & 120 pounds with another person.· The ability to shovel heavy waste to shoulder height.· The ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions for several hours daily while wearing protective + safety equipment required.**Work Environment & Conditions:**Join a clean, safe, and modern facility equipped with cutting-edge technology, advanced machinery, and innovative processes.
