Job summary

Valley Corporation is seeking an experienced form setter to prepare forms for concrete work on roads, drives, curbs, medians, sidewalks and slabs. You will read grade stakes and guide the pour, using hand and power tools, on-site with construction crews.

This role is physically demanding, requires working with all levels of staff and management, and may involve overtime including nights and weekends to meet project schedules.

Qualifications

• Educational requirements: High school/ GED and minimum 3 years of related work experience.
• Physical intensity with bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, twisting, standing and lifting over 50 lbs.
• Ability to work with all levels of personnel and management; self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must have a valid Nebraska driver’s license; overtime including nights and weekends may be required.

Responsibilities

• Set the forms that hold concrete to the desired pitch, depth and alignment for roads, drives, curbs, medians, sidewalks walks and slabs.
• Using hand and power tools; read and understand grade stakes; direct pouring concrete as needed.
• Perform physical form setter work and assist crews; follow regulations and company procedures.

JOB SUMMARY

Experience looking at plans, setting both metal and wood forms ahead of hand-placed and slipform concrete placing operations. Perform tasks involving physical labor at construction projects. Requires good communication skills and working with all levels of personnel and management.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:

• Set the forms that hold concrete to the desired pitch and depth and alignment for roads, drives, curb, median, sidewalks walks and concrete slabs
• Using hand and power tools
• Read and understand grade stakes
• Direct pouring concrete as needed
• Physical work is expected as a form setter and assist the crews as necessary
• Abide by all company regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
