Job summary

Oldcastle APG in New York seeks a general yard worker to assemble orders, wrap pallets, and load customer vehicles using a forklift. The role requires forklift certification and the ability to work with customers in a friendly, professional manner.

You will handle basic forklift maintenance, recharge batteries, and keep the yard clean and organized while adhering to safety procedures and schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to pass internal certification.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and instructions.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Receive order slips, gather products by hand or forklift, and assemble orders for pickup.
• Safely operate forklift to move pallets to staging areas or load vehicles.
• Work with customers in a friendly, professional manner.
• Perform routine forklift maintenance and battery charging.
• Maintain clean, orderly work area.
