Job summary

Clean Harbors in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Material Handling Technician to join our safety-conscious team. This role reports to the customer location and performs various warehouse tasks, including non-hazardous waste clean-up and equipment operation, to maintain a clean, safe work area.

The position requires a Monday–Friday schedule on 1st or 2nd shift, with a new-hire-academy training out of state. Valid driver’s license and on-call availability are required.

Qualifications

• On-call emergency readiness and possible weekend/holiday coverage.
• Background check, drug test, and physical required per position.
• Respiratory protection compliance per OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies to keep Health and Safety as the top priority.
• Conduct strenuous physical tasks including lifting heavy objects.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment; use hand tools and powered tools.
• Wear PPE and adhere to protective gear requirements.
• Work in varying temperatures and potential exposure to hazardous materials; observe safety protocols.
