Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking a Material Handling Technician in St. Louis, MO, reporting to the customer’s location. The role involves non-hazardous waste cleanup, forklift operation, material handling, general warehouse duties, and maintaining a safe, organized workspace.

A two-week out-of-state Academy training is required and paid by the company. The schedule is Monday–Friday with two shift options (7:00–15:00 or 15:00–23:00).

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to perform physical functions per key responsibilities.
• On-call emergencies may occur; occasional weekends/holidays.
• Background check, drug test, and physical per position.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority by following policies and working safely.
• Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting heavy objects.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and use various hand tools and powered tools.
• Wear appropriate PPE and follow protective equipment protocols.
• Work in variable temperatures indoors/outdoors and in different weather conditions.
• Assist in field sampling and calibration of meters; climb ladders and scaffolding as needed.
