Job summary

NXTPoint Logistics seeks a forklift operator to safely and efficiently move, stack, and pull merchandise across warehousing operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory, and light assembly. You will perform daily equipment inspections, operate various MHE types, ensure accurate loading and unloading, and maintain records as required.

The role emphasizes safety and teamwork in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months verifiable work experience in the prior 36 months operating material handling equipment as required by role (sit down/stand up forklift, reach truck, cherry/order picker, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods and OSHA standards including daily inspection and maintenance.
• Load, unload, move, stack and stage product and materials using a gasoline, liquefied gas, or electric powered MHE equipped with lifting devices (to include; forklift, boom, scoop, lift beam and swivel hook, fork grapple, clamps, elevating platform, or trailer hitch or motorized pallet rider).
• Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations.
• Efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate areas.
• Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring accuracy for loading and shipments.
• Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas into trailers or containers.
• Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
• Perform pick and pack, light assembly, labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed.
• Keep appropriate records and reports to ensure proper inventory control and security measures are followed and maintained.
• May assist in physical inventories.
