Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• 3–5 years experience with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic equipment.
• Experience with repairing forklifts.
• Technical or mechanical training/certifications preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to interpret schematics and use diagnostic instruments.
• Ability to safely operate power tools, lifts, hoists, hydraulic jacks and overhead cranes.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and diagnoses equipment problems and breakdowns.
• Recommends service actions to resolve performance problems.
• Performs repairs or modifications as needed.
• Follows scheduled maintenance procedures.
• Documents each service call and paperwork.
• Observes safety procedures and disposes hazardous waste properly.
• Maintains company service vehicles and tools.
• Keeps work area clean and hazard-free.
• Performs other duties as required.
