Summary: As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting material handling equipment, including hydraulic and electrical systems. This role requires hands‑on technical expertise, strong problem‑solving skills, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement. In addition to performing repairs, you may be responsible for maintaining battery charging stations, picking up parts, and documenting service history.

Essential Duties: Essential job duties for this position include the following items.

Equipment Maintenance & Repair: Perform preventative maintenance (PM) and corrective repairs on forklifts and other material handling equipment. Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and structural issues using diagnostic tools. Maintain battery charging stations and related equipment.

On‑Site Service & Customer Support: Provide maintenance and repair services at customer locations as needed. Run computer‑based diagnostics to identify and resolve equipment issues. Communicate with customer and sales teams to identify service needs and ensure customer satisfaction.

Regulation & Safety Compliance: Follow all traffic laws, OSHA standards, and site‑specific safety protocols. Properly use PPE and operate company equipment safely and efficiently. Keep the workspace clean and organized for safety and productivity.

Administrative Responsibilities: Document work orders, service history, and parts used for tracking and reimbursement purposes. Track purchase orders and manage parts inventory. Stay current with evolving industry technology and best practices.

Continuous Improvement & Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance technical skills. Seek opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in service delivery.

Travel: Driving to customer sites to perform maintenance on equipment and industry events to highlight our products and services.

Education/Experience:

Ability to diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Strong problem‑solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues efficiently.

Effective communication skills to work with customers and sales teams.

Attention to detail for accurate service history documentation and inventory tracking.

Knowledge of OSHA regulations and ability to follow safety protocols.

Familiarity with diagnostic tools, computer‑based systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining accountability.

Willingness to stay up to date with new technologies, equipment, and industry advancements.

Valid driver’s license.
