Job summary

Quest Employment are recruiting for an experienced Forklift Engineer / Forklift Service Engineer to join a well-established operation based in Northampton, NN4. This permanent role offers stable Monday-to-Friday hours and a salary of up to £38,000 depending on experience.

Responsibilities include servicing and repairing forklift trucks, diagnosing faults, completing maintenance records and ensuring equipment is safe and ready for use. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

• Experience as Forklift Engineer / Forklift Technician or similar role.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills and fault diagnosis
• Basic electrical fault-finding knowledge is desirable
• Ability to work independently and stay organized
• Reliable, professional attitude and long-term interest

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing forklift trucks and MHE
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and inspections
• Attending breakdowns and completing repairs efficiently
• Identifying damaged components and completing necessary repairs
• Ensuring equipment is safe and ready for use
• Completing service records accurately
• Reporting faults and safety concerns
• Working with the engineering team to resolve issues
