Job summary

Linde Material Handling is seeking a Resident Engineer to be stationed at a customer site in Grantham, delivering hands-on diagnostics and servicing for forklifts and material handling equipment. You will conduct preventive maintenance and build strong relationships with the customer to ensure peak equipment performance.

Ideal candidates have vehicle technician or mechanical engineering backgrounds, with IT literacy and a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience as vehicle technicians or mechanical engineers, including forklift technicians, plant fitters, or vehicle technicians.
• NVQ level 3 (optional) or equivalent qualification.
• Comfortable using IT equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues to keep customer equipment at peak efficiency.
• Manage preventative maintenance and essential checkups for fleet reliability.
• Service Linde forklifts and related material handling equipment at customer sites; build strong client relationships.
• Work autonomously while collaborating with local teams to ensure safety and service excellence.
