Job summary

Conagra Brands in Council Bluffs, IA is seeking a Receiving Forklift Operator for the 3:30 PM–12:30 AM shift, paying $23.14 per hour onsite. You will perform setup and line service for production, retrieve ingredients, and move finished products to the freezer while maintaining a clean work area and accurate inventory in the warehouse management system.

The role reports to the logistics team and requires English literacy, safety consciousness, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months forklift experience preferred.
• Knowledge of GMPs.
• PIT Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts including stand-up, sit down, tandem, and rider.
• Perform required safety checks of equipment before use.
• Setup production staging areas with required ingredients and materials from daily requisition sheet.
• Transfer finished product from the line to designated freezer.
• Verify bill of lading and count/inspect received inventory.

Job Details

Shift: 3:30 PM-12:30 AM. Hourly Rate: $23.14 an hour.

The Receiving Forklift Operator performs setup and line service for production lines safely and promptly, retrieving ingredients or packaging material during production, transferring finished product to the freezer, receiving inventory, ensuring received inventory is entered into the warehouse management system, and maintaining a clean work area.

You will be onsite at the facility located in Council Bluffs, Iowa. As a Forklift Operator, you will report to the logistics team.

Anticipated Close Date: November8,2026.

Essential Job Functions

• Work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for position.
• Read, write, communicate, and comprehend written instructions in English.
• Operate forklifts including stand-up, sit down, tandem, and rider.
• Basic math skills.
• Basic knowledge of computers.
• Follow 5'S standards.
• Move up to 75lbs.

You will:

• Perform required safety check of equipment before use.
• Perform setup and line service for production promptly.
• Setup production staging areas with required ingredients and materials from daily requisition sheet.
• Retrieve ingredients/packaging material for production during production.
• Transfer finished product from the line to designated freezer.
• Prepare to receive trailers by opening dock door, setting dock plate, inspecting trailer, and chocking tires.
• Inspect and unload trailers.
• Verify bill of lading.
• Count and inspect received inventory.
• Transfer return inventory to warehouse, freezer, or cooler locations.
• Rotate date sensitive stock according to company policy.
• Maintain clean work area (e.g., remove trash, stack pallets, remove damaged pallets).

You have:

• Knowledge of forklift safety and troubleshooting.
• Understand the effects of product damage.
• Knowledge of GMP's.
• Be PIT Certified.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: 6 months forklift preferred.
