Job summary

NFI in Perris, CA is seeking a Level I Technician to perform all aspects of MHE planned maintenance on equipment. The role requires basic automotive experience, mechanical know-how, and good customer service and computer skills.

You will report to a lead technician or manager and work full time on site. Responsibilities include preventative maintenance on forklifts (LP and electric), tune-ups, brake adjustments, battery care, part replacements, and ensuring a high productivity level.

Qualifications

• Post high school / technical school education not required, but desirable.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to lift and/or pull 75 lbs or more without restriction.
• Must be able to work outside in inclement weather conditions.
• Must be able to stand or lie down for extended periods of time to repair equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform Preventative Maintenance on forklift (LP and electric) and other equipment.
• Perform tune-ups, adjust valves, and replace spark plugs and wires as needed.
• Brake and riser adjustments, inspect and repack wheel bearings.
• Inspect and water forklift batteries on a defined schedule; battery removal and installs.
