Job summary

Simmons Foods is seeking a Forklift/Pallet Jack Operator for on-site work in the Fort Smith, AR to Van Buren, AR area. The role moves products using a forklift, pallet jack, and hand lift while adhering to safety procedures and USDA requirements.

Ideal candidates will hold valid forklift and pallet jack licenses, be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and possess a High School Diploma or GED. This full-time on-site position reports to the floor supervisor and supports production operations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to move or lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must obtain and maintain forklift and pallet jack licenses.
• Preference for poultry or food processing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift, hand lift or pallet jack to move products between departments, buildings, and grounds.
• Deliver materials to work areas and load/unload shipments while maintaining safety procedures.
• Perform routine servicing of equipment and report mechanical issues to supervisor.
• Maintain clean and organized dock area and assist with inventory recording.
• Complete daily and weekly reports and participate in team activities and safety programs.
