Qualifications

• Must be able to operate industrial forklift, high reach, and pallet jack safely.
• Experience in moving products and loading/unloading shipments.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and USDA requirements.
• Prefer poultry or food processing experience.

Responsibilities

• Stores and moves product using an industrial forklift, high reach, hand lift or pallet jack.
• Operates an electronic or hand operated pallet jack between departments, buildings, and grounds.
• Delivers materials to work areas as directed from the production supervisor, stacks materials in storage areas and loads/unloads shipments in trailers.
• Performs routine servicing of equipment such as changing batteries, charging batteries, and checks tires.
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Loads and unloads trucks, stacking and consolidating partial pallets.
• Assists with inventory, correctly recording numbers and codes.
• Keeps the dock area clear and organized to ensure efficient work flow.
• Completes and delivers daily and weekly reports to the floor supervisor.
• Performs other duties to support business objectives.
• Can move up to 50 pounds and uses PPE as required.
